Pastries are one of life’s greatest delights. Their freshly baked goodness brings comfort, while their sweetness brings joy, which, undoubtedly, makes them a culinary landmark in any food culture in the world.

Recognizing this universal love for pastries and their personal passion for baking, the wife and husband team of Yamilka and Anthony Rosemond went on a journey from France to the US, bringing authentic Parisian macarons and crêpes to the sunny landscape of California through their brainchild, Pastreez.

Since its founding in 2017, Pastreez has grown immensely having collaborated with many big names such as Netflix, opened their flagship store in Phelan, and partnered with noissue for their sustainable packaging staples. Continue reading to learn more about Pastreez!

Tell us a bit about your brand!

Pastreez is a French bakery where you can order macarons online. 100% handcrafted, our macarons ship fresh to your doorstep.

Back in 2017, my wife Yami and I left everything in Paris, France. We landed in LAX with two luggage and one dream: Build our online macaron store.

We started at farmers markets in Southern California, and quickly switched online. To date, Pastreez sold over 2 millions macarons in the US.

Tell us about your packaging, how you’re using it, and the importance of it for your brand.

Having our macarons shipped was the main challenge at Pastreez. Since day one, it was an obsession. While most bakeries send frozen so it can thaw in transit, our approach is different. We bake fresh upon order, and ship fresh, not frozen.

Once we figured out the perfect balance between the authenticity of our recipe and packaging, we were able to ship to all states.

In addition, packaging is the first physical connection that our customers have with us. So I want to make sure that it is a great one.

What made noissue a good fit for your packaging?

noissue has a unique angle to packaging. I love the fact that you can filter by industry (café, restaurant, etc.). You guys seem to know our needs as bakers, it shows you know your customers and we can trust you.

I was impressed by the level of customization allowed and delivery time. Each product clearly has delivery estimates so we can plan ahead.

Lastly, noissue also has a vast selection of products. Before, we needed to order different packaging from different vendors. Now we have the possibility to order all in one place.

Where are you finding inspiration for Pastreez and in life at the moment?

Pastreez aims to be a family macaron bakery online. We want to be close to our customers through homemade French pastries.

Our inspiration is all about being authentic with a twist of innovation. So we keep an eye on macaron flavors that French bakeries release in France.
